Round two, fight
Dec. 29th, 2004 05:55 pmIt would appear that my mom has set up some more presents for some reason. Other than most are for Dan, since he wasn't here for Christmas. Most likely though they are just unwanted stuff. But whatever..
Can it be? Has Nickolodeon actually gotten a tolerable show comming soon? Some show by the name of "Avatar", appearently imitating anime style as well. It saddens me how much American cartoons have been doing that lately. Especially since most people couldn't tell the difference before. I have no idea how many times I had to tell people Teen Titans is not anime. I would make an exception due to the fact it's main creators are in fact Japanese. However, I know for sure that Robin is pure American. In fact, supposibly there was an early Teen Titans made some years back. Unsure of date, but yes, the new one is actually a remake. Not completely original. Thus making it impossible it to be anime. Not saying it's a bad show though. In fact it's probably one of the better American cartoons out there currently. Along with some other classics.
But ah yes, the ongoing fight: Anime(let alone dubbed or subbed) versus American. Frankly, aside from some horrible horrible anime, I would still have to say it is better. Why? Anime actually keeps going. Rather than American stuff which you could it's all just fillers. I have only seen a few American shows that actually keep an going story. Which is the key thing to ripen character and plot. There's just nothing to evolve on. However spontaneous stuff is fun every now and then..
