grifstarSo I finally saw the Shaymin movie...
- I loved it how Shaymin was pretty much almost like an asshole throughout about the first half of it. Making it(her..?) possibly one of the greatest legendaries ever, just for that XD
- I kind of have a new respect for Giratina as well too. Although I still don't care much for either of it's designs (why do all the dragon mascots look so BULKY? DX)
- Also approve that the plot was actually kind of more of a "I want to kill Giratina" rather than a very boring one of wanting to capture it. But still, seriously, Nintendo, get newer story writers or something... I wonder exactly how the US version is gonna dub the "GIRATINA IS GONNA DIE OH NOES!" partShadow Realm
- I still wish they explained WHY exactly Shaymin's Seed Flare can make holes in the Reverse/Torn/whatever World.
- Ash and Dawn either need better Pokemon, or much better strategies. Because "THUNDERBOLT!" "BUBBLEBEAM!" spam at the first sign of something is just... u-ugh. Especially when none of the things they used it on would have done JACK to them anyway (Magnemites/tons/zones, Giratina, airship things, red lazery stuff)
- I don't care if that thing was made out of the strongest steel ever or something. That little Giratina!head jet/plane/thing should have at least crashed and burned somewhere when it got hit maybe 3 or 4 times by a srsly pissed semi-godly ghost dragon that's at least 6 times bigger than it.
- Although he was supposed to be an alleged "major Pokemon" within the movie, Regigigas hardly did much at all.
- Apparently all wild Pokemon come equipped with Ice Beam
- I still don't know why Giratina decided to go hunt Dialga down at the end. Wouldn't it be a possibly better idea to stay home and clean up the mess those two were making, maybe convince Shaymin(or the whole group of them) to help remove those clouds, than to completely ditch the dimension all together were it might get worse? Where has Palkia been all this time anyway? >.>;
All in all, I give the movie a B+/A-. Wasn't quite as good as the Lucario or Lugia movies, but definitely one of the more favorable ones overall. I can kind of see where a lot of it would have inspired the Platinum version coming out soon.
