.... Yeah, Disgaea 3 is just odd XD (a good kind of odd, but still odd nonetheless). Doesn't even really 'feel' like a Disgaea sometimes, probably because they totally gutted out and replaced a lot of it's mechanics (weapon mastery/skill gaining, Dark Assembly, some other things) that it just.. feels weird.

I like though~ <3

And on an un-related note, I-I can't stop watching this... XD

To me, it outdoes the other games in almost everything. I really, really loved the characters and story, though. :>

I really like it. The changes they did make definitely makes things a lot easier and whatnot. It just seems a little 'awkward' at the same time because it is different.

Story-wise I can't say much because I only just got to the 3rd chapter XD. But so far I have to say it's one of their better ones(definitely better than D2's, and probably better than even the first one). Although, I think I still like SN's a liiiittle more..

I do like the fact that it doesn't all seem extremely filler based until the very last second(biggest biggest haet for a lot of the N1 stuff DX), and the chapters actually seem... a lot longer for once.

Yeah, I enjoyed Phantom Brave's story because it wasn't just random fillers here or there, it actually had purpose. I haven't played Soul Nomad yet, so I can't speak for that one - I'll have to get to that one soon. It' still really expensive at work though... I need to stop splurging on mochas, haha.

Anyway, I think Disgaea 3 shines most after you beat the game, after you realize how everything was put together, story-wise and character-wise. Hope you enjoy it!

Once you're done with it, you should check out Valkyria Chronicles.

Yeah, although my biggest annoyance with Phantom Brave(aside from some quirks in the battle system), was that I wish they did more with Ash. Explained a little more of what he was like and did before he died and so on. Or elaborate more on the whole phantom thing(not just him but also phantoms in general).

Ah, you'll probably like Soul Nomad then. Because well... actually it's extremely plotholed the first time playing through (ESPECIALLY when you get towards the end, oh boy >.>; ), but after the second time or so, it really starts to make a like a lot of sense. Pretty much, about more than half of the game is nothing but a giant plot jigsaw puzzle... Some of it is still just fanon speculation though(because they never did give a straight answer), but they do "kind of" give you enough hints at the same time.

... *kinda worried how OOC some of my SN muses might be getting though* >.>;

Also, I still think Soul Nomad had even the longest plotline out of them all right now. Plus the "Demon Path" sub-story after it too.
