IT'S HEEEERE~!!!


.... and yet sadly, I'm already frustrated with it x_x

- I don't like the controller it came with (it's a 3rd party one. I guess it works fine and all but... it's gonna take some time getting used to. I may end up buying a different/official one down the line, no biggie overall)
- I don't like the fact it's not wireless, like Wii (again, still a "no biggie" overall. I'm right next to my computer, if I need to download something which I someday will I can just unplug my internet cable for awhile)
- I still have NO idea how you put older memory cards in it... or if you even can O_o; (biggest sadness of all.. ;-;)
- ... I still don't know how to turn it off. Then again, it took me awhile to turn it on XD;;; (pretty sure flipping the switch in the back isn't really the correct way to do it)


But I guess for now, *RUNS OFF TO PLAY SUM D3!!* &hearts &hearts &hearts

Well, I do still have a PS2 to play. But still... What's the cost/damage to upgrade to a different system? >.>;

They're rare now. I mean, the 60 GB (4 USB) model, the 20 GB (4 USB) model, and the 80 GB (4 USB ) model** are all discontinued.

Breakdown :

PS3 60 GB Model
PS3 20 GB Model

Both have the PS2/PSX chip inside to play PS2 games.

PS3 80 GB (4 USB) Model...
... has the software emulation system in it, through it's computer system it can "pretend" to be a PS2 in order to play PS2 games (Sometimes, it's a little wonky.)

The 60 GB is the most sought after, it's just difficult to get by now. You can only get them on ebay or second hand retailers, which can be a little sketchy, so you're better off just staying with your model since you mentioned you had a PS2 alraedy as it is. (AKA It's not really worth it.)

** So you don't get confused, there are two 80 GB models. A 2 USB model and a 4 USB model. The 2 USB model CAN NOT PLAY PS2 games. Only the 4 USB model can (it's the first model)

TL;DR stay with your system. It's the least desirable, but it does pretty much the standard stuff a PS3 should do.

My PS3 is a 60 GB, other than backwards compatability, it has SD card readers- I think they took this out in later models. (you see where the disc tray is on your ps3? The area next to it used to "open up" - it was a flap with hidden compartments where you could attach SD cards and other types of cards to the system, I believe this was removed from your model.)

Does trading in a 40GB cut the price any? Assuming well, you can store the memory on it right now somewhere else so you don't loose it XD

As long as it's fixable and not gonna be too pricey in the long-run, I could wait for awhile I guess...

Just keep the one you have, it's seriously not worth it to trade it in, you're wasting hundreds of dollars. ..

hmm, the backwards compatibility is the only problem with it then?

I was kind of hoping to have it replace my PS2 as well. But I guess I could technically keep both around afterall. It would just be a waste of money.

Maaaaaaybe if the PS3 prices get cut down even more later, I might consider upgrading still afterall, maybe. I'm not planning on doing anything really drastic right now, other than possibly getting a better controller.

Although.. PS3s do have their own memory cards, right? (assuming the harddrive gets too full)
