Anyway... Turned out, my brother had the XP CD afterall. So I spent like about 2 hours last night reformatting. So now my C drive is totally wiped clean. Which I thought would mean all my problems should be fixed. Since well... there's NOTHING on it that should be causing problems.
... Sadly, that's exactly the thing. Apparently now the computer isn't reading all of the components inside it (sound, video, the fact it's hooked to a god damn router and not dial-up DX), it's pretty much just running on the most basic of things. Some of it though I do have the discs for, like my video card and dvd burner, others are stuff that came with the computer, and shouldn't be rocket science for it to find(and should be running just fine too)... And I sure as hell don't have any kind of installation for it. DX
I tried playing with it last night, but there was absolutely nothing I could do. Plus I'm terrible with that kind of stuff anyway. I think my best bet now is to just take it to Fry's and let them tweak with it(it is one of their computers afterall), I really don't know what else to do..
Also I did briefly replug my other hard drive back in, I didn't really do much with it, but it looks like everything is running just fine (other than my computer can't yanno, actually run most of it because it's being stupid now). Which makes me happy.
*siiiigh*, I just want my computer back... I went from having a messed up one to now one that's utterly soulless.. x__x
