Jun. 24th, 2008 07:52 pm..... And the war still rages on
Although I'm sort of at the point where I think I know what is causing this. Actually, turns out there might be a bunch of other ones too(that I can't remove without buying an actual program.. >.>).
At this point, I think I have the little bugger cornered, but it's being way too stubborn and just not dying. So I just need to keep on pulling out stronger artillery until it finally does.
WORST-worst case senario, if I still can't fix it, there's always the option of reformating. I can get all the installation files I need on my external HD, disconnect it from the computer, and just bomb the heck out of it and start from a fresh clean plate... Which in a way would be very nice when I have LOT of crap on this computer right now and slowing it down, not just badicky stuff.
But.. I still have at least one or two aces up my sleeve, I'll wait and see what happens.

Date: 2008-06-25 03:22 am (UTC)I've been thinking of buying another year of Norton under my mom's nose. She pays the bills online and goes to those 'download the games!' sites that I just don't trust, even if they are company sites. I'm going to try and talk to her about it again but if she continues to procrastinate, I'm going to have to stick it in my own hands of keeping her info along with mine secure.
