I gots all sorts of games eatting my brain right now~! D:

Things about Wild Arms 4 that made me cry:
- No dash skill
- No actual worldmap
- Lack of actual tools(the whole "pick up item and use it" thing just isn't cutting out for me D:)
- No traditional prelude thing
- No switching to other characters... >_>;
- Voice acting pretty much kills it
- Actually decent graphics, but appearently too lazy to show any of it and instead replaced by artwork and the strange obsession of OMFGCOMICYANIMESTYLESIDEPANELS..... that likes to keep changing around.... x_X
- Kinda poor music
- Kinda weird battle system

Thing about Wild Arms 4 that made me feel a little bit better:
- A kinda neat anime opening, once you get to the point where you can actually watch it
- The guardians, 'nuff said
- Actually get healed after every battle
- You can actually BUY Heal Berries and such again x_x (WA3 was trying to murder me with that I swear)
- The whole "how to get skills/magic" system

I'm still quite disappointed about the game though... God I hope the remake isn't done up the same way D:

... And then there's Ragnarok Online, which I decided to give a shot again. Gotta say, this time I'm having more fun with it. Partly one, I know what I'm doing a whole lot better now. And I'm actually leveling MUCH faster than I did before(even though I think the severs I was on had higher rates XD;;)

It's still really weird though. At times it kinda makes me feel like I'm playing something like WoW, only a much more downscale version(especially in groups). And then it feels almost like .hack with it's strangeness and....... cuteness......? O_o;

At least there's not this whole demand to be in a group though. Soloing isn't hard at all.

I know having me comment is fairly creepy and all, but I was looking up everyone I took off my lj list to see if they've changed at all since I did so. Heh. xP *is exceedingly bored*

... and trust me, the remake is nothing like 4. In fact, I'd reckon that they spent all their time and money on the remake, which is why 4 seems so incredibly rushed. (Ooh, and did you here there's possibly going to be a remake of 2? That made me beyond happy, even if it is mostly a rumor)

I enjoyed most of the realistic plot in four though, even if lack of Michirko Naruke and the world map were depressing. =/

Also, would you be interested in joining a Wild Arms rating community or blog crew? xP Neither have enough members, because Wild Arms is so underappreciated and everything.

... Sorry, but my appreciation for that game has gone beyond just appreciation into downright fandom. Heh.

Damn, this is rare, also kinda random XD;

I guess that kinda makes sense though, since the two did come out at almost the same time. Reminds me though that I still got to get the remake someday.

But yeah, judging by the style of music it wasn't Naruke's work at all. Which got me worried that maybe he quit making the music for Wild Arms anymore or not. But then again, same thing kinda happened in FF. Nobuo was busy with the music in XI that he didn't have much time with X. Which was why he didn't do most of the composing for it.

[/ramble]

But yeah, I didn't get very far in 4 yet. Mostly since all the downfalls were acting like turn-offs. And it made it feel more like a Star Ocean 3/Xenosaga spin-off than old fashion Wild Arms =/. Kinda like how I temporairly stopped playing ToS because the battle system was annoying me too much, and Warcraft doesn't help at all either.

I guess nobody really knows what until whenever 5 comes out. And that 2nd remake better be true =P

... As for the blog crew/community, why not both? XD;

I was completely disappointed at the beginning as well, but are you past the whole irritating "Let's run away" deal? Once you get to Buckeye (which is a highly amusing name for a boring rundown town, because Buckeye is another name for boring and rundown Ohio ♥) it begins to get quite a bit better. After that, it began to remind me quite a bit of the second game, only more rushed and with the secondary villians having less personality. (Cocytus > Brianac)
