Mwahaha, thought up of somethin' to do ^_^

(note: the white strips contain spoilers, and there's probably gonna be tons. I'm gonna try my best to keep it "mostly" clean though.. But some of the more minor spoilers are exposed)

I truly must say, I didn't imagine this series getting as good as it did. Plus it's the only series that I ever truly "fell in love" with (aside from when I was obessed with Pokemon for probably 2-3 years.. *sweatdrop*). Probably the best 2 things that made it good was non-stereotypic characters and a story that hasn't been used before, since it doesn't involve ninjas, mechs, monster training, or demons.. Instead you got people making werid stuff from using symbols/arrays and losing limbs or other body parts.. heh ^_^

Another thing was that there was never "truly" an antagonist. Well, yes and no. I didn't like how at the end it had that whole "omgz Dante is evil because she wants to take over Rose's body in order to stay immortal" thing. There was just something about it that just annoyed me (probably because it's a quasi-overly use senario). And then of course, you got Envy, one of my favorites out of the series. Envy is an interesting person indeed. But his overly spitefulness and hatred to Ed makes perfectly good sense.. Afterall, they do share the same father even though Ed and Envy are over 100 years apart (such insanity there is XP)... And of course, the other thing Envy does that millions of people hated (not counting Ed's 2nd death.. Or did he even die that other time.. hmm), was that he killed Hughes. Ever since that day I had to stand up for Envy just I do and still do the same for Suboshi in Fushigi Yuugi. Sigh, murderous characters get such bad rep -_-.

And then you got your other 3 "villian-ish" people: Shou Tucker, Barry, and Kimbley. Seriouslly, I'm getting sick and tired over hearing about how immoral the Nina thing is though. It's gonna be amazing if they can pull that part off though for the dub though.. Having a 5-6 year old girl getting fused to her dog by her own father then getting blown up by Scar.. Yep, interesting censorship that would be.

Another thing I hated was that how the "other side" of the gate is actually our world (and that appearently we are the sacrifical lambs for alchemy, doesn't that make your life seem wonderful? ^_^). I've grown a hatred to the making of parallel dimemsions with ours. I liked the idea of the gate though on a whole. It makes sense to the whole exchange idea (and why some people do alcemy by clapping.. well.. in some way). Except, if there is another side, then what was with all those black Homonculus things in it O.o? Still kinda confused by that.

Man, it really does have to suck being Al.. Poor guy. Not really dead, not really alive either. Just a soul of a ten year old in armor, heh. Then there's the point where he thought that he didn't exist at all, which I don't blame him. It still seems weird that when Al is back to normal at the end he doesn't remember anything after getting sealed in the gate. I already figured he would still be ten years old though, since time doesn't seem to really pass there. But considering all the time that has passed (like what, 5 years? XP), that sure makes one strange paradox. But hey, better than being a piece of armor the rest of your life... I would think...

One really good thing about the series too was that times it was comical, then times where it was serious, then times where it was emotional (to the point where I hear people were actually getting emotional breakdowns from it XP). The comic relief/parody epsiodes just ruled though XD.. I still can't help but laugh at some of the parts in the Ed/Roy fight. Got kinda sick of the "shorty/chibi/etc" jokes after while though. They were alright at first, but then they got kinda old. But meh, I guess it's still somewhat fun to poke fun at Ed's height time to time.. Even though I don't find him being THAT short.. And then there's the other side to FMA.. According to what I heard, Ed's death was just as shocking to people as when Spike in Cowboy Bebop died(which many people don't consider that a spoiler because it's been blurted out so many times XP). Hughes' and Greed's death was also another thing that more than half of the people who haven't seen that far but already knew. Scar's and Martra's though.. There wasn't too much talk about. Which was kinda surprising.. Actually lots of important people died in that series. Heck, if there wasn't a movie coming up, they probably could have killed Ed there and made millions of Ed fans heartbrokened XP(or I guess technically Al would be one dying, since he "temporary died" bringing Ed back, but regnew)

To actually tell the truth, there was very few people I hated. But my main favs probably are stil Edward and Envy. But Al started climbing up at some point (partialy due to pity, partialy due to some relatfulness, partialy due to other stuff, take your pick). It's kinda hard to explain what makes Ed so... Ed-like XP. Other than being the only "anti-hero" person I can think of that doesn't become some sap at the end, and that's only using stereotypes. Envy is just unpredictible, for the most part.... Umm... yeah

As I probably obiviously stated in many many other entries, I'm protective of how the series is like in Japanese. I thought the cast was awesome. I think my favorite VA is Paku Romi now(heck, it's the ONLY seiruu I know by heart XP). Nobody can do as good as she did on Ed, and probably Heimdall in MLR. There's just something about it that it fits prefectly, can't put my finger on it (you can't even really tell it's a girl at times XP). In fact probably 90% of the voices in it had some good about them. But I doubt the dub would capture that same "feeling" as the Japan one did (which it didn't =/, blargh). Then to make it worse, "incorrect" scripting. Which there was some mild cases that I saw in the first ep dub.

Another kewl thing that happened though while watching it was... it wasn't even finished yet XP. When I started the series was only about halfway through. But because of it, nobody knew how it was gonna end. So basically everyone was in the same boat as far as nobody knew what could happen next. Which normally, with most series, there's always somebody that has already seen all of it. I don't know, I just loved that effect, considering how complex things got with lead to big debates (and nobody could have been right)

And now for tribute, I shall post this awesome pic I found, with almost everyone one it (I found about 4 people missing. Yes, I was that bored.. and appearently that obessive...)

Sigh.. I must continue operation cosplay someday...
