FMA OVA, part one

grifstar... It's about time @_@
I have to say that it was quite amusing. But I felt very disappointed by it's length, and the fact it mostly focused on just a few people. I was hoping it would have been more various. Not to mention, focused on movie events. Even though I loved the wisecracks they made, seeing how that movie deverses to be trashed seven ways to Sunday for wrecking the series even more than what the last eps did(Noah is a sue, Heid emos, and no one cares for the extra undead armor guys covered in Gate snot and babies).
Also I didn't like the fact that the subtitles shot by too quick, or maybe they were just talking really fast. I dunno, but for some reason it was the first time I had a hard time keeping up (mostly the stuff Riza said and when Al was being sadistic and creepy)
Aside from those complaints, I thought the chibi one was alright. But it's something I would expect them to do better. I mean, I seriously doubt about 10-12 minutes of chibifed animation is hard to make. It was still funny none the less though.... But... it kinda just wasn't enough.. =/
... And am I the only one who finds the fact Gluttony ate Lust for kinda almost no real reason quite ironic? O.o;
Actually I thought it was kinda cool, but the whole insert self thing was just dumb. It almost reminded me of a Disney ride or something else does that. Or one of the Comand and Conquer/spy games with first person cutscenes... Wtf was with that ring anyway?!
Otherwise I liked it. It reminded me of the good old days before FMA went wanko. The stuff that made me like the series to begin with.
And finally Envy gets more time to shine(seeing how really, he hardly got any actual screentime)... I almost forgot how of a bastard that palmtree is. Poor Greed got totally owned x_x. But it was totally worth seeing homunculus opening a can of woop-ass again, not to mention I got more clips I can use for my AMV thanks to it =P
..... And another thing..... Robo!Archer actually HELPING them? Kimberly still alive and in the military? ..... Did I miss something? X_x;
....... And they actually called the country Amestris for once! *_*
Overall though, seeing how those two a supposibly the lesser of the evils(still need to find subs for the other ones)... I was quite disappointed =/. And once again my inner fangirl cries for a continuation. Yes, believe it or not. I mean the way I see it now, the anime is already fucked up pretty bad right now as it is. That to the point, I don't even think a second series can do anymore damage than the damage it's already in. If not maybe make it better. Even though I know the "kid" OVA is suppose to be in the late late late future and most likely the ending to it all. But then again, OVAs like to live in thier own little universe anyway. So it doesn't really mean a thing.
... Or... my other thought I like, the idea of making just an alternate series entirely. I know lots of fandoms have done that.
