grifstarWent to go see 'How to Train Your Dragon' earlier today yesterday. It was good, though throughout the entire thing there was a lot holes that I really wanted answered. But as soon as the whole meat of the plot layed out it was "yeah, you're totally just gonna avoid explaining any of that, aren't you?"
... Come to think of it, the whole climatic ending made little sense too. Not to mention was pretty damn hypocritical. Ah well, still an alright movie D|

Pairing: Gig/(male)Revya
In general...
- What is it that you like most about the pairing? Be descriptive! :3
It shows the full extent of their character development together, but mostly on Gig's side. Since Gig went from being a selfish asshole to... still mostly an asshole, but can at least sympathize for most things now. And there's been plenty of canon proof of him becoming slowly a nicer guy, especially to Revya. There's really not much else I can really explain here since it's better fit for the next question(s).
- Why does the pairing make sense to you? I.e., why do you see a relationship working between the two characters?
Easiest way put: Gig had the one time chance to steal Revya's body for good and totally passed it up. Instead, he actually prevented Revya from dying by just taking his place. Also I don't know if it was intentional (because it's likely the seal would've totally blocked that anywayhowever the reverse happened in DP), but it was kind of implied a little that maybe Gig could've just ate his soul anyway and taken over that way. But it never happened.
Basically, if he was so serious about getting rid of Revya, he would've done so. But instead, half of the time he was just trying to protect himand also himself, but regardless.
... Oh yeah, and they're supposed to be "soulmates". And seriously, most of the dialogue surrounding that and Gig's constant mention of wanting Revya's body sounds all but a little too... uh, q-questionable.
- What is the greatest aspect of the pairing?

.... Yeah, I guess dysfunctional strangely seems to work for this.

It's ridiculously impossible trying to find more people that like this version Well, Revya is still a typical hero type and Gig is still somewhat an axe murdering deathgod? withdere
- Do you think these flaws endanger the pairing's survival?
.... Yes :| They'll settle their differences.
In regards to theshow game...
- What drew you to thisshow game in the first place?
Iroooooonically enough, Soul Nomad was the least Nippon Ichi I was really interested in(because no one was really talking much about it), and almost skipped completely if it weren't for the fact I magically found it as a Gamestop and talked my brother into buying it because "well it is N1, so what's the worse they could've done?". And within like about halfway through, it was already becoming like my favorite of them all. Probably because outside from sprite design and that special brand of dark humor they love to use, there was really few other ways you could tell it was a Nippon Ichi game.

.... I don't exactly remember. But the normal path ending was what finally sold it for me in all it's "d'awwwww >:quittsundereingdanette"

Sadly, it looks like female!Revya is actually the canon versionbecause N1 can't possible resist anything with revealing cleavage, but with that denial outside, actually.. yes, it is actually implied to be fairly canon. Enough as it can be anyway :|
