Oct. 15th, 2009 04:59 pm... I've been thwarted D<
Trying to get a video editor on this thing, and got a really nice download of Premiere CS3. Which actually just by playing around with it, I love it. It has a lot of nifty toys on it that would really come in handy for me. But the one problem?
No fucking MP3 import. Along with a few other commonly used file types (well, I dunno if MP4 counts as common but still). I dunno who was in charge of this sort of thing, but at this point I hoped they were dragged into a street and shot. Because, seriously
Actually, this might even explain why no sound was coming up even on the resource video. Which.. isn't something necessarily bad because that audio is gonna get muted out in the actual video anyway, but it does make clip searching a little more boring >>;
So I try to get the patch, which is supposed to fix this sort of thing. Oh but low and behold: Fucking patch doesn't want to install either.
Though I cut the patch installation some slack. Since it's not an official copy after all, though I really have no clue what difference it makes in a case like this. So fine, uninstalled CS3, REinstalled it again, waste 30 minutes of my life in the process, kept it as a free trial and left everything in tact, tried the patch again, still nothing.
The even more amazing thing about this? No troubleshoot for this damn patcher, and I've hunted everywhere, but it seems no one has gotten this same problem either.
And at this point, I just give up with it.
.... I'm trying to see if I can at least get a CS4 to work now. And if that doesn't work, it just means it'll be an even longer and much painfuller way to make videos again. And if it does work but has this same exact problem, I might just cry.
