Episode 8 review

grifstarI'm not really sure why, but I was quasi-dissapointed with the dub last night.
I detested how Winry sounded, even though that wasn't the first time she appeared.. Not really sure why I didn't like it sooner.. Something about that voice that made it seem like it wasn't her. Grr..
Also appearently they called Barry "Berry", when it was really pronounced "Bar-ee". Maybe that was an English correction, dunno. But I still think it should have been kept alone. Of course they turned Bard into "Bald" in 5. But even certain subs tranlated it into either Bard or Bald. So that one kinda passed. Though I think Bard is a bit better...
Can't believe it's been 8 weeks already (well, 9 technically).. Doesn't feel like it's been going on for so long. I'm still hoping that maybe AS will stop airing it at some point. Perhaps maybe just the first 25 eps if not less? Can't stand the popularity it's getting now (not like there was a big fanbase already). Also I realise that watching it on TV ruins flavor. I didn't see the fansubs I probably wouldn't like it at all. Because the dubbing maybe? Partially. Then again, the beginning is a bit slow.. But the dub is now starting to hit that part when it gets better.
Then again most shows on TV do start to get a bland feel overtime, mostly common in anime than american ones.. I don't understand why though. Appearently it even happens in good anime like FMA -_-;
