I HAS A SCEPTILE FINALLY! =D (still think it looks fugly compared to Grovyle though >.>) But it's about time I had another decent grass besides my Roserade >.>

Why do all of my other grass starters have to SUCK so badly? ~_~ Although that's probably only because I TM'd him death... Which I might do the same for my Ivysaur because practically every move it has is a physical hit, when it's really better with special. *facepalm*

Let's see how far this goes. List your favourite five running gags from any series of any medium. Then tag five people to do the same thing. Everyone loves a running gag, what's yours?

.... I take it means only canon gags, damn D:

1. Soul Nomad - pretty much everything, as with almost every N1 game
2. Fullmetal Alchemist - Zeppelins.... I don't need to say more XD. Although that's probably more of a fandom gag along with lightbulb!Envy joke that only veteran fans remember... Really, I got a little sick of Ed's short rants, or almost anything involving his height, along with Roy's miniskirt fetish. Of the manga stuff though I loved Mei's fangirling over Ed until she finally met him and then became obsessed over Al instead
3. D. Gray-Man - I like a lot of things... The stuff involving Allen and Cross(and how Allen got his evil gambling side XD), the stuff between Lavi and Kanda, Bak(or Komui) doing weird things.....
4. Disgaea(s) - The prinnies... X3
5. Slayers(because I have no idea what else to add here x_x ) - Xellos.... anyone who's seen that series should know what I mean XD

Psh. It's because all grass pokemon suck. I've tried in vain, game after game, to train up a good grass pokemon to put on my team and they all end up being pussies that fall behind the rest of the team. (And Grovyle is way cuter that Sceptile. I almost didn't want to evolve mine D:)

In Saphire, I had a Trpoius. All my other pokemon on my team were level 50-60 something by the time I hit the League... Tropius was still level 45. And what's the point of having flying as secondary type if you're still weak against it? Ptah.

I don't have a grass pokemon on my Diamond (though I'm considering making an eevee evolution team including Leafeon)... Or even my Firered. On Shiny Gold, I've hacked a Celebi, but that doesn't really count since it's a legendary and already has stats that are through the roof.

Problem is too is grasses have so many weaknesses too. Especially if it's also a bug or poison. But yeah, seriously. All of the other flaws I've seen with the starters at least(which have slightly better stats than adverage Pokemon, but by much though) is that:

Bulbasaur - All of it's grass attacks have been changed to physical hits(at least Vine Whip makes sense, but Razor Leaf, wtf?), except for like Leaf Storm which is the last possibl thing it can learn. But the entire family is only good at special attacks. Making so that you're going to have to teach it things like Energy Ball(which I'm getting sick of having to teach to everyone) and Sludge Bomb if you ever want to use it offensively and at it's full potential.

Chikorita - .... Pretty much everything -.-;. Stats wise it's just one of those "okay at everything but not succeeding in any" ones. As much as I grew to love Chikorita because of PMD, and now take it as my starter if I have a choice between every other existing one. It's really not something to sniff at. ._.;

Turtwig - Lots of attack, which makes it.... actually pretty good, considering it gets Earthquake and such (mine's not fully evolved yet though). The only about it is that generally I level up my waters and grasses on rocks like Onix and Gravelers, because of the double weakeness and they give lots of exp. But almost all rocks have extremely high defense, more times than not if I use a physical water or grass move on them, even with STAB boost, it generally gets them down to the red.... and if it's a Graveler, 75% of the time they blow up in your face on the first turn -.-. And Turtwig is also too weak in special to take them out with Mega Drain or so in one shot too. D:

So.... Yeah, grass starter wise, I think Treecko is one of the better ways to go. Although I did give mine Energy Ball, Giga Drain, and X Scissor. Which I'm probably going to have to do the same for the other ones >.>

Actuallly my "main team" in Pearl (which really to be modified) has a Roserade. Who one of the weaker ones of my group, but certainly does more work than my Mismagius... >.>. She can completely solo the ground lady in the E4 even though everything is about ten levels higher than her XD
