Feb. 26th, 2008 06:08 pmI had this really weird dream a couple of nights ago.. *before I forget all about it* Actually as always I think it was a mix of a couple of them.
There was these two guys, around currentish time period (actually I think it was really supposed to be around the 80s-early 90s.. I think). If you were to break down the 4th wall, I think it was really supposed to the some kind of TV show that I was "watching" o__o;;
Anyway, two guys, best friends, probably high schoolers, they find out about this D&D-ish game (it's not quite the same, but pretty close) and decide to play it. One of them wanted to have a warrior/fighter kind of character, the other wanted to be a kind of mage. I was "playing/controling" as the guy that was being the mage during the dream.
They started to get really into the game, even though I HARDLY know anything that was really going on with it. Until during one of the sessions when something really weird happened to the mage!guy's character. Either he was captured, turned out to be a traitor(was betrayed?), I have no idea. I even have thoughts that he was just killed.
Anyway after the session was over the mage!guy went home and was going to go to bed. Sometime during that night though he got a surprise vist from... no other than the character he was playing in the game =O. Turned out that the game they had been playing was really some alternate universe of their's. Anything they did in it actually effected that universe's outcome, and it wasn't just those two but ANYONE that played it and had a character(so probably thousands).
The mage!guy and the character shared a special link though, quite possibly because it was who he was playing in the game. The bottomline was that due to *insert whatever actually happened to him* the mage!guy now had to fully taken on the character's role. As in become trapped in the world the character was from, and take on his name, form(there might've been a slight difference though), everything.
As so the mage!guy suddenly went missing from the "real world". And the rest of the dream is pretty blurry from there, even though it started to get really interesting. Turned out the original character was still able to follow the mage!guy around and "give advice" on stuff and everything, even though he was kind of like a ghost or something (It really reminded me of the Gig/Rev relationship only not quite. Probably because only the mage!guy could see/hear him from what I could tell).
And umm... yeah, rest just had to do with the mage!guy trying to fit in to his "new home". I think he arrived to the new world about a year or so after the original character died, and turns out he also left a really bad impression to most places. And now mage!guy has to put up with it XD(even though you could say it's really his own fault for making the character act that way). Eventually he also meets the character of his best friend from the real world/fighter!guy, which somehow wants to kill him for some reason or another. I have no idea why o_o;; Especially when it's his friend that's still controling the character too. (don't ask how that works)
... Gah, if I could come with with names, fill plotholes, I suddenly REALLY want to make another story series out of this o___o;;;
