The computer battle rages on

grifstar.. And it looks like I'm winning now o_o;
Pretty much all day I been just doing normal computer check-ups (adware scans, defraging, etc). Stuff that I haven't done in a long time actually, which is maybe what some of the problems are.
Anyway, I did scandisk awhile ago... I had over 8 gigs of temp files. I have NO idea how it got that big, but I did(actually I think it's possible most of it might've been from burning cds/dvds. Because I know some of those programs make temp files. And seeing how much those cds/dvds can hold...).
About 2-3 hours later I finally quitted the scandisk, partly because I couldn't even see the bar move anymore... when it was just barely quarter in. So I canceled and went back inside to see just how much damage I actually did... and it cutted the number down to just a little over 3 gigs. So at least half of it is now gone.
.. Still dunno if my recyle bin wants to work with me anymore though or not(currently I don't have anything to test it with). On the other hand I found another way to clean it up via scandisking. Sure it takes much longer, but it's better than having the risk of the computer freezing up again =/.
So, it looks like the idea of reformating at the moment is unlikely. Even though I know my compy has MANY little quirky bugs on it that don't want to go away, and that's probably the only way to remove them in the long run. But since I found ways around my deleting problem, and that was the final straw I had with it if I couldn't fix it in some way, it looks like Eifa 1.0 is gonna be living on for a bit longer ^^
and at least she stopped making that unhealthy growling noise at the moment.... I always get worried everything she starts doing that >.>
